A Heart for Christmas sounds like the kind of book I would pull from the stack when I want how the book would earn its place in a real stack or display.
The books that move well for me in this lane tend to have a clear personality. They know who they are for and do not waste time pretending otherwise.
I would rather hand-sell one book with a point of view than ten blankly competent ones, and this at least sounds pointed in the right direction. Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers has it listed for 30-Sep-2025.
If you want another steady stream of book coverage, City Book Review is still worth a browse.
